Sneaker Heads Unite!

 

 

 

     Today Bryan1276 and I made a trip out to the Jacob Javits Center to check out Sneaker Con 2015 making a pit stop in our back yard. For those who don't know oor have never been to a sneaker con before, it's one of the bigest sneaker gathering in the nation making stops in large cities such as New York, DC, Los Angles and Detroit just to name a few. Sneaker heads from all across the country come together to buy, sell or trade some of the rarest sneakers that hit the market in the past few months. Every is on display from the brand new Yeezys, to the ever popular foamposites and of course the classic Jordan's (can never go wrong with a pair of fresh J's).

 

     While im not a full blown sneaker head like my boy Bryan, I can appreciate the concept of owning a pair of rare kicks, hence why sneaker con has always peaked my attention. While we wait online line, we chop it up with a few dudes and talk about  what to expect, like what we might want to cop and reminisce about kicks we use to own . As soon as we entered the gates, we catch a whiff of that brandnew sneaker smell, the sound of 90's hip-hop blaring throught the room, colorful, animated sign displays and the eager smiles of people as they show off the brand new sneaker they just got .

 

     If sitting in a sneaker swap meet and losing count of the amount of kicks you just walked by isn't your thing, there are some dope vendors to check out . Showing everything from custom-painted shoes to snapbacks,exclusive tees, custom key chains, original artwork,throwback jerseys, old school original sneakers (that aren't forsale of course, I believe the term i kept hearing all day was dead stock...lol) and sneaker care products were made available for purchase during the one day,  pop-up event, so there is a little bit of something for everyone here .
